Border Town Days

What FUN! Border Town Days was great! There were so many friendly faces and the event was so nice. There were so many vendors offering so many great items: food, jewelry, cosmetics, candles, warmers, and much more than I was able to see. I was so busy at my own booth that I didn't get to  see some of the stuff people were offering; but that's okay because I enjoyed every minute of what I was doing.
I was invited by some friendly women, Lynne and Shauna Mahaney, to be a part of the Border Town Days celebration (and I thank you so much). I am truly grateful and hope to be part of the event from now on.
As some of you all know, I recently put my "Talent" to work. I started face painting and love it! Here are some pictures that I took that was part of the Border Town Days celebration and of my work.
  1. Below are two girls that caught my eye with their pony bikes. I thought they looked so cute! I think their parents did a great job.
2. Here is a booth that was near mine. The one here is an AVON booth with Unit Leader Lisa Kia selling her products.

3. Now some pictures from my Face Painting business. Below is a picture of a girl's forearm with a cupcake. She wanted me to write "Depend on God" with her cupcake and I thought that was so special. I hope she continues to depend on Him all of her life :).

4. Here is my son and helper. He wanted this to help advertise my work. He's such a great guy.

4. Here he is again sitting at our booth waiting for customers.

5. Here is one of my most popular designs. I don't even know what to call it? If you can come up with a name, I would love the help! Just list it on my comment section.

6. This young guy wanted the same design my son had. He's cute, isn't he.

7. Below are brother and sister (I hope I got that right. I'm still a little spacey since I'm recovering from giving birth to my precious son). You can't really see it well but the little guy choose "Angry Bird" and Sister choose one of the butterfly designs I offered. I'm glad I made them happy.

8. Another popular design was the "Hello Kitty" one. She looks so happy.

9. She likes her butterfly design as well. I love that I am bringing smiles to these wonderful children. I hope they enjoyed their day as they showed everyone their painted faces.
10. This is another type of butterfly design that I offered. (Yes, I forgot to ask lots of children and their parents if I could take pictures of their faces with other designs I offered. I was so busy and my one-track mind didn't help. I wish I hadn't forgot to take pictures of the little boys that I painted my batman design on! It was so cute and....oh well, maybe next time)

11. Here is the same design on this young model. She's a natural isn't she? Her father? said she likes to pose for pictures and he wasn't kidding.

Well, I thank you all for allowing me to bring smiles to your children and I thank God for the gift He's given me. All the pictures were taken with permission and if you have any questions or would like copies of these pictures (relatives only....no strangers) please feel free to contact me. And remember, I face paint for birthdays, special occasions, and events! Oh, that reminds me. I held a drawing for a 30% off for my services and the people who won are:
1. Tasha Roberts
2. Joann Love

I will be contacting those who I haven't contacted yet. Congratulations and come back!

P.S.-I will be working on holiday designs: Halloween and Christmas. I think it would be cute to paint kids as Santa's helpers, or have candy canes, stockings, and who knows what else. I'm excited! See y'all soon.
