My Testimony

As a teenager I was heading down a deadly, dangerous road. I used to believe that as long as I believed there was a God, no matter what I did (good or bad), I would make heaven my home. I was VERY wrong. Thank God for His grace.

At the age of 17? or around there, I visited a church in my hometown of Carlsbad, NM. This little church was having a Church Revival. I sat through the preacher's sermon and didn't think much of it from what I can remember, and toward the end of the sermon a girl asked me if I would like to pray. I remember thinking, "Sure, I'll pray." Well I didn't realize she meant that she wanted  me to ask Jesus Christ into my heart which I had many times before. I said the prayer and to some of my readers disappointment, still was naive about what God was doing in my life (spiritually blind).

I attended this church for a while and then God opened my eyes to show me that I had been a hypocrite for many years. I thought I was living for God but realized that I couldn't call myself a Christian and talk badly, fight with others, break the law, think bad thoughts, and so on. I needed a miraculous change. I needed to really dedicate my life to God and His Will instead of my own. My own will was totally against Biblical principles.

It took a while but I finally dedicated my whole life to God. I realized as Luke 16:3 says: "No one can serve two masters. For you will hate one and love the other; you will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money." I can't try to be cool with the world and be cool with God. I had to be cool with God and uncool with the other. I hope you understand what I mean. I personally cut off my drinking friends unless they wanted to serve God with me. I chose friends who had a same purpose in life: to serve God wholeheartedly. I didn't treat my old buddies badly I just made a stand to stop drinking and other ungodly practices. I made it a point to be at church every time there was church services, read my bible daily, pray, and tell others about the salvation of Jesus Christ, and warn people about hell. That is what set me apart. That is what made me unpopular with the world (those who resent God and His nature).

Till this day, I continue to go to an AWESOME Christian church that is part of a huge Fellowship. You may have heard of it. The church I go to is the Potter's House Christian Fellowship

For those who live out-of-the area. I hope you will:
Step 1: Ask Jesus Christ to be your Lord and Savior
Step 2: Find a Gospel believing, Bible Preaching, Christian church. Attend it regularly so that you can grow
in the knowledge of God and His will for your life.
Step 3: Show others how to do the same :)
